| Question: |
What is overselling? |
| Answer: |
Overselling is selling more resources than you actually have. For example, if your server's hard drive is 80 GB and you sell hosting with 10 GB of web space more than eight times, you are overselling. The point of overselling is that you advertise that you offer high amounts of web space and bandwidth, attracting more clients. However, these resource allocations do not actually use up any space. In reality, the average user only uses a couple hundred megabytes of storage and less than 10 GB of bandwidth per month. |
